Reverse Christmas Parade Update

November 17th, 2020

Reverse Christmas Parade – Dec. 5, 11am until 12 noon, lower parking lot.  It’s the season for holiday magic and a little bit of creative thinking this year due to COVID-19. Therefore, the Breakfast with Santa will be replaced by an outdoor “Reverse Christmas Parade.”  Purpose of this type of parade is to meet diocesan and government COVID requirements, provide safety for attendees, workers, and Santa while the kids have an opportunity to interact with Santa.  There will be NO pictures with Santa this year.  Everyone MUST stay in their cars.  Masks and gloves will be worn by all volunteers.  Signs/workers will be on site to direct traffic. End time depends on number of cars and availability of prizes.  Weather call will be made the day before.  Christmas music will be performed by John Beardsley and we will have a live NATIVITY.  Stops will include: A) Craft to take home and make. B) Treat bag for the kids. C) Drop off Letters to Santa – be sure the home address is on the envelope or letter as ALL letters will be answered by Santa’s elves.  D) Santa (candy cane from Santa;  and E) Donations will be accepted and appreciated of  (NEW ONLY PLEASE) unwrapped toys, markers, matchbox cars, dolls, crayons, books, paper, pencils, board games for the family that will  be donated to the kids that attend West Irvine Elementary School  in Appalachia.  The year 2020 has been extremely hard on these families. Cash Donations will be accepted also.
