40 Cans For Lent

YES, WE CAN! You are invited to participate in the “St. Stephen Community 40 Cans for Lent” program. The goal of this drive is for each parish family to contribute one can of food for each of the 40 days of Lent, that’s 7 cans per week! Then, throughout Lent — the food cans will be delivered to the Mt. Juliet Help Center.  As a bonus, The Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus will donate $100 for every 1,000 pounds of food that is contributed  — up to a maximum of $500 per council. These proceeds will be donated by the council to the church for use with various charities.  All you need to do isbring your 7 cans per week to church and put them in the box in the Old Church. A bin will also be available at the fish dinners for your convenience.  Yes, it’s that simple and a great way to get the whole family involved in a charitable activity. The collection will start on Feb. 14 and run thru April 2. For questions on this, ask GK Bill Walsh 615-513-6369  or Deacon Steve Molnar at 615-604-6059.  WE CAN DO THIS!
