Evangelization (Rename ways to serve)

  • Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
RCIA is a process which enables a person to gradually journey toward becoming a member of the Roman Catholic Church through faith sharing, praying, and serving with the church community. Questions are answered along the way, allowing the participants the freedom to decide whether or not to continue the journey. RCIA meets most Thursdays from 7-9 pm in the Hall of the Holy Family Center.

  • Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC)
RCIC is for children of catechetical age (7 years) who have not been baptized or have not been raised in the Catholic faith. RCIC meets most Thursdays from 7-8:30 pm in Room 101A.

  • Landings
Landings is a ministry for Catholics who have been away from the Church. In a short 9 weeks, you can learn from other parishoners about their spiritual journeys, current practices in the Church, and gain a deeper understanding of Catholicism, the St. Stephen Community, and your own faith. Come join us, make new friends, and help yourself and others grow spiritually in God’s grace.
    Scott Goudear, 758-2424.
  • Why Catholic? Groups
An ongoing faith formation study using a guidebook and The Catechism of the Catholic Church.  People meet in homes and groups are available almost every night of the week.  Sessions are held in the Lenten season and in the fall.  This is a wonderful way to meet new people and get involved with parish life.
    Barb Couturier, 758-0737.

  • Newcomers Dinners
Three times a year covered dish socials offer the chance to gather as a community and welcome new parishoners. Aside from great food, its a wonderful opportunity to meet the Parish Council, staff, and other parishoners.
