"Prayer is a participation in the life of love. The Church has a vast and rich treasury of traditions of prayer. The means to draw ever nearer to God in prayer exists for everyone, in abundance." (ACM; pp. 154-155)
OCIA is for adults, 18 years and older, who have not received all their sacraments of initiation, including any of the follow: baptism, holy communion and confirmation. OCIA catechesis (handing on the Gospel) and the prayers, rites, and texts used in the OCIA process are based in Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The Gospel-based evangelical process includes liturgical formation, catechetical formation, and fellowship with other Christians in an atmosphere of pastoral concern.
OCIA meets year-round every Sunday morning from 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM in classroom 103-B, and on Thursday nights from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM during the months of September-June.
